Sorry for the lack of posts lately! Harvest’ll do that to you.

In a week though I’ll be done at Staglin! After the fires everything flew by faster than I could have imagined. We’re just now getting back to 8 hour days which is both wonderful and heartbreaking since it means it’s all coming to an end. It’s a love/hate relationship spending every day enthralled in what you’re doing but slamming into stainless steel and minorly injuring yourself along the way, but I know I’ll miss it like crazy.

Even after three harvests I still think winery work is incredibly interesting, engaging, and pushes me to think in ways I never have before. We’re constantly making decisions on the fly, solving problems and strategizing and I absolutely love it. I’m definitely ready to try using the skills I honed in throughout college but wouldn’t trade the past year and a half for anything.

Shout out to Leah, Tatum and Sara in the city for keeping me sane whenever I’ve been able to make it in, and Sharon and Pat for visiting! You guys are the absolute best and I don’t think I could have survived this season without you.

Also super excited for the next few weeks of travel I’ve got planned! From the end of November to mid-January I’ll be all over the world exploring wine regions, trying vegan food and celebrating the season! Can’t wait to see all your travels as well!

Come spring I’ll be looking for a full-time position for while I’m in school (fingers crossed I get in, of course), so if you know of anything in Napa/Sonoma for marketing, branding consulting or hospitality let me know!

Also if you have any suggestions for where we’re traveling through just leave them in the comments! The more adventurous the better.
